This course is very good in that it expands your knowledge to no end about the industry from start to finish.
September 17, 2015, Capital Analyst, Calgary
The course 'Introduction to Petroleum Engineering for Non-Engineers' was a very fascinating course. It provided a detailed level of analysis without being too data centric. I have already recommended this course to colleagues.
September 11, 2015, Senior Market Analyst, Calgary
Overall, quite good and informative. About as in depth as a non-technical person could handle. My only recommendations would be to update some of the material and use more 3d animations to show the processes. In particular, drilling and completions, it's hard to envision some of this stuff in 2d
September 10, 2015, Senior Financial Reporting Accountant, Calgary
The course was very well taught and provided a good overview for those with limited knowledge of the subject matter.
October 3, 2014, Manager, Subsurface Applications, Calgary
About half of the first day's material overlaps in many areas with the Introduction to Geology for Non-Geologists course. Keep this in mind if you've taken that course and are looking into this one.
September 10, 2014, Joint Venture Analyst, Calgary
There was a lot of great information in this course, some I had already touched upon and even more information to solidify my understanding on the topics. A great overview.
September 3, 2014, Regulatory Analyst, Calgary
This is a very helpful course to understand the role of a petroleum engineer. Technical concepts are explained very clearly by an instructor with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
September 3, 2014, Leader, Analysis and Planning, Calgary
Great course which provides a comprehensive overview of the PE process. Highly recommended for anyone who is not exposed to the Upstream.
November 20, 2013, Sr. Business Development Rep., Calgary
Saad does a very good job of combining lecture, printed material and videos to enhance the learning of students.
November 15, 2013, Director CDN Content Operations, Calgary
The instructor provided relevant real-world examples of material. This was an excellent overview that provided me additional context and clarity for my existing knowledge, and helped filled in knowledge gaps that I wasn't even aware that I'd had.
November 14, 2013, Routine Applications, Calgary
Enjoyed learning from project conception to workover & stimulation and everything in between.
November 14, 2013, CFO, Calgary
A very good introduction to Petroleum Engineering for Non-Engineers. The course moves at a good pace with real life examples of the material being presented. Highly recommended!
November 14, 2013, Research Technologist, Calgary
The course is excellent for individuals who aren't engineers. It covers some of the basics and some topics in details about petroleum engineering. The course was helpful in regards to the current experiments that I running and will also help me better understand for my future experiments. I am glad I took the time out and did this course. The Instructor was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining topics in details.
