Course Description
This two-day introductory course targets industry professionals with no prior geological training. It will provide an understanding of fundamental geological principles and provide the background required to communicate more effectively with geoscientists. The course provides preliminary exposure to the main geologic principles that are employed in petroleum exploration. It introduces the various "tools of the trade" and explains their use. Examples are provided from a small selection of the major plays in the locale where the course is taught. The course provides a practical and useful overview of geology for those able to dedicate only two days to this important topic.

For an expanded version of the topic, we recommend the 4 day "Geology for Non-Geologists" course.

This course is also offered as a Live Virtual Training Course on July 19-20. Live Virtual Classroom training lets you reap the benefits of real-time instructor led training wherever you have an internet connection. You conveniently connect to a live classroom, remotely from your office or home. Click here to Learn More or Click here to Book Your Remote Seat.

A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.

Introduction to Geology for Non-Geologists was a worth while course for people that are new to the industry and would like to gain a better understanding of exploration geology. The instructor takes you from basic geology principles and formations, describes exploration processes and types as well as prospecting and explains drilling and production. The course includes a lot of information but the instructor tried to hit on topics related to your field.
